Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Common Entrance Test(AME CET) is an entrance exam to take admission in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course. For AME Admission one should firstly fill the entrance form of AME CET through online or offline mode.

AME is a four year license course in which a 2 year academic session and the rest of 2 year is a training session. Eligibility criteria to take admission in AME Course

  • Must be qualified or appear in the 10+2 Science stream with PCM (physics, chemistry, and mathematics) from a recognized board.
  • 3 years engineering diploma in any stream from a recognized university/board or approved from AICTE.
  • AME course can also be pursued by the one eligible for B.Tech in any stream.
  • Candidate age can be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission.
  • Must not have color blindness.
  • A candidate should appear in AME CET 2025 entrance exam to get admission to one of the premium colleges in PAN India and based on the AIR candidate can also avail up to 100% scholarship.

  • The entrance exam for candidates who have passed their 10+2 with PCM comprises three to four sections containing questions related to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, General Awareness, and English.
  • The candidates holding 3 Years of Engineering Diploma/ B Tech / Higher qualification in science with PCM, have English, General Awareness, and Aptitude Test sections in their exam pattern.
  • After qualifying in the entrance test, He/She will be eligible for the AME admission counseling on the basis of their All India Rank (AIR) of AME CET 2025, where they get admission to DGCA approved institutes/ colleges.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Responsibility

The roles and responsibilities of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) are as follows:-

  • Repair, Maintenance, and replacing the damaging or old parts of the aircraft.
  • Test all the parts of the aircraft before showing the green flag.
  • Uphold safety and security measures.
  • Maintain the performing maintenance schedule.
  • Licensed aircraft maintenance engineers also approve the other AME aircraft if he/she is not available.
  • License holder AME is able to issue the Flight Releasing Certificate(FRC).
