The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course not only focuses on academics or books but also to provides students with ground research knowledge of the aviation industry. Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Eligibility Criteria

To Pursue Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Course some basic eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled that can be found below:-

  • Candidates should be appearing or passing his/ her 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from any recognized board.
  • Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% in his/ her 12th with PCM or equivalent.
  • Candidates must meet the medical standards as per DGCA.
  • The minimum age of the candidate must be a minimum 17 years.

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) Admission Process

The candidate has to follow the given admission process after fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the commercial pilot license course:-

  • Students who are searching for the topmost institutes of CPL in PAN India can attempt the national level Entrance Test of AME CET.
  • Candidates can fill the AME CET 2024 application form that can be filled in online and offline mode.
  • After clearing the exam, the candidate has to attend AME CET Admission counseling to confirm their admission to the top CPL institute according to their All India Rank (AIR) of AME CET 2024.
  • All Institutes are DGCA, Govt. of India approved. DGCA is the Indian regulatory body which is under the Ministry of Civil Aviation.


The eligibility of the commercial pilot license is given below:-

  • Students must have passed the 12th board examination with any recognized board.
  • Students must have physics, chemistry, and mathematics in their 12th.
  • Students must score 45% marks in their 12th board examination.
  • Students do not have any physical disabilities.

The requirements for the CPL, you have to complete your 200 hours including 100 hours pilot-in-demand and 50 hours of cross country flying.

The minimum age limit for the commercial pilot license (CPL) is 17 years and the maximum age limit for this course is 60 to 65 years.
