The basic criteria for becoming qualified for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) studies in Kochi requires completion of 10+2 education with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from an authorized board. To earn entry into an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course candidates need either their engineering diploma of mechanical or electrical background or higher secondary education PCM standards. Candidates need to fulfill two key requirements for admission: the minimum age must be 16 years old during enrollment and all candidates must satisfy medical requirements established by DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation).
AME programs accept applicants through entrance examinations which include both institutional tests run by individual institutions and the AME CET on a national level. The AME training covers two parts that include DGCA-regulated license-based learning and AME degree or diploma programs. The duration required for completion extends between two and four years based on program selection. Studying students acquire aircraft maintenance expertise through theoretical education and practical training sessions on repairs and troubleshooting activities. The successful completion of the course requires candidates to take and pass exams administered by DGCA for obtaining their AME license.
