The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course includes different subjects that are necessary to comprehend human movement, rehabilitation, and therapy methods. Core subjects are Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, which give basic information about the human body. Biomechanics and Kinesiology deal with movement science, and Pathology and Microbiology describe diseases and infections in patients. Pharmacology makes students aware of the impact of drugs in physiotherapy treatments.
Specialized courses like Exercise Therapy, Electrotherapy, and Manual Therapy are taught in later years to impart techniques of rehabilitation. Neurology, Orthopedics, and Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy specialize in conditions of the nervous system, bones, and heart-lung functions. Rehabilitation and Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) educate students in helping differently abled people. Research Methodology and Evidence-Based Practice strengthen analysis skills for clinical decision-making. Internships and clinical practice are also covered in the program to provide hands-on skills. Through the integration of theoretical expertise and practice, BPT educates individuals for employment in hospitals, sports clinics, rehab centers, and private practice to successfully diagnose, treat, and manage physical disability.
