The BCom under the NEP (National Education Policy) is skill-oriented and multidisciplinary in nature. It covers the basic subjects of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Business Economics, Business Law, and Principles of Management. Students also take Business Statistics, Taxation, Banking & Insurance, Financial Management, and E-Commerce. These subjects build a good base in commerce, finance and management.
Moreover, the curriculum has provision for skill enhancement multidisciplinary and ability enhancement Environmental Studies and Business Communication. Courses such as Digital marketing, data analytics, entrepreneurship, and even Fintech might be offered. The structure of NEP allows flexible entry and exit points, internships, and research-based learning. Such diversity in subjects enables students to attain industry accepted skills with sound theoretical understanding. The use of interdisciplinary electives enables further specialization in accounting, finance, marketing, and business analytics.
