The 5-year integrated LLB course is offered to the students who have already completed 10+2 level of study and want to study law for their career. The minimum qualification criteria are the pass in the 10+2 examination conducted by a recognized board with the minimum aggregate percentage marks of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students). Some universities could be relaxing percentage criteria for reserved classes. Moreover, there is usually no particular limitation regarding the stream pursued in 10+2, i.e., students from Science, Commerce, or Arts streams are eligible to apply.
Entrance to the majority of the most sought-after law schools that conduct the 5-year LLB program is through national and university-level entrance examinations like CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), AILET (All India Law Entrance Test), and LSAT (Law School Admission Test). Certain universities also have their entrance tests. Applicants are required to satisfy age requirements, if any, as indicated by the university's regulations. The process of selection involves merit shortlisting, later followed by counseling or individual interviews, depending on the admissions policy of the institution.
