The BBA in Hospitality Management (BBA HM) is of 3 years duration and encompasses 6 semesters. In some countries or universities, it extends to 4 years if there is an internship or research component included. The program includes hotel and restaurant operation, tourism, customer service, food and beverage management, and event management along with general business administration.
Students are expected to undertake internships, industry visits, and practical training within the hospitality sector which they can utilize in their course of study. The education system is aimed at producing graduates who can integrate knowledge and skills so that they can work in hotels, resorts, airlines, cruise ships, or be active in event management. In addition, some other institutions also offer luxury hospitality and travel and tourism entrepreneurship as their major. Some graduates go on to work as hotel managers, event planners, directors of food and beverage services, or run their own businesses in the hospitality field. This course is good for students who want to actively participate in the service sector.
