Undergraduate students need three years to complete their Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting (B.Com PA) education which divides into six semesters. The New Education Policy (NEP) presents an option for universities to expand this program duration up to four years. Students receive education through this program which establishes their fundamental understanding of accounting, taxation, auditing and financial management for future roles within corporate finance or accounting firms and also as Chartered Accountants (CA) and Cost Accountants (CMA).
Every subject in financial accounting as well as corporate laws and cost management and business economics and taxation forms part of the educational curriculum. Students get opportunities to receive practical training along with access to industrial exposure through internships because these elements get incorporated into the curriculum to build essential work-related abilities. The institutions provide specialized training that exempts students from pursuing professional certificatons in CA and ACCA and CMA depending on their chosen field of study. Graduates after completing their M.Com or business degree can start working in finance or taxation or auditing departments or banking or business consultancy establishments before deciding between M.Com and MBA and CA qualifications.
