A BSc in Visual Communication (VisCom) integrates technology and creativity. It’s a broad collection of subjects where students learn how to communicate with visuals which include graphic design, animation, photography, filmmaking, typography, advertising, and even UI/UX design. Messages can be brought across different digital and print media platforms and students learn how to use branding, storytelling, visual aesthetics, ethics, and soft skills to achieve that. The course also teaches practical skills, working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
With a degree in hand, graduates find work across the globe as graphic designers, art directors, video editors, multimedia artists, UI/UX designers, and visual storytellers. They can also branch out into the advertising, gaming, entertainment, and publishing industries. Digital content is more important than ever which means VisCom professionals have access to endless possibilities in both the traditional and digital spheres. The students are prepared by incorporating as many projects, internship opportunities, and portfolio building assignments as possible to teach them how to succeed in careers specializing in digital marketing, advertising, media production, animation, or graphic design.
