Eligibility To apply for BLS LLB or the integrated degree program in legal studies and laws, students should have their 10+2 qualifications from any of the recognized boards. The general minimum aggregate mark at the higher secondary level for universities would be around 45-50%. A higher percentage can be a prerequisite depending upon the prestige of an institution or if the competition is quite sharp. Candidates should also be within the age group of 17 to 20 years at the time of admission, with age relaxations for reserved categories in some universities.
Besides the basic educational qualifications, many universities or law schools require candidates to clear an entrance exam. The exam usually tests general knowledge, English language proficiency, logical reasoning, and legal aptitude. Entrance exams, such as CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) or any other university-specific entrance exams, are used to admit students. In addition to this, other documents such as educational certificates, ID proof, and passport-sized photographs are required. Some colleges may also hold personal interviews or group discussions to finalize the admission process. Therefore, eligibility is a must for getting admission in the BLS LLB course.
