To qualify for an MSc in Agriculture, the candidate needs to have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related fields such as Horticulture, Forestry, and Agronomy from a reputable university. Most of the institutions expect a minimum aggregate of 50-60% marks in the undergraduate program. Some universities might also accept degrees in allied sciences like Biotechnology, Engineering in Agriculture, or Life Sciences but that will be dependent on the specialization chosen during their MSc.
Admissions is usually on the basis of entrance tests such as ICAR AIEEA, CUET-PG, or other state-level examinations. However, some private universities grant admission based on merit.
