To be selected for the B.Tech course at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (IARE), applicants should have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects. They should have obtained the minimum aggregate percentage as the institute has laid down, mostly 45% for general candidates and 40% for reserved ones. The selection is mainly on the basis of Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) score and the candidates are required to clear the cutoff decided by IARE.
Moreover, some seats are kept aside for management quota and lateral entry admissions. For lateral entry into the second year, the candidates should have a diploma in engineering or a B.Sc. (Mathematics) degree and pass through the TS ECET entrance examination. The admission procedure is done according to AICTE and JNTUH norms, and thus the students with good academic and technical ability get a seat in their desired engineering branch at IARE.
