When planning to pursue the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) B2 Stream, it's important to understand the eligibility criteria you must fulfil before applying for admission. Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) B2 Stream, you must satisfy one of the following:

  • 12th Standard (10+2) passed from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as main subjects.

  • OR a 3-year engineering diploma from an AICTE-approved institution in any relevant engineering field (such as electrical, electronics, mechanical, etc.). Additionally, you should have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying exam.

Age Requirements

  • You must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.

  • The typical upper age limit is 28 years. These age restrictions ensure that candidates are ready for the rigorous training and licensing process required in aviation careers.

Medical Fitness

Being medically fit is a key part of eligibility for the AME B2 Stream. You must:

  • Not have color blindness.

  • Be free of any physical disabilities that could interfere with practical aviation maintenance tasks. This is important because Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) B2 Stream involves detailed work with aircraft avionics systems where good vision and physical ability are essential.
