In Telangana to seek Aeronautical Engineering, the candidates are required to complete 10+2 (equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects. A minimum PCM aggregate score of 50-60% is generally asked for, though it may change with the organization. Admission in most cases happens through entrance examinations like TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test) or JEE Main. A few private colleges can hold entrance tests separately or give direct merit-based admissions.
Besides academic standards, students also need to have age requirements (usually 17 years and above) and have any other set requirements by private colleges. Some students with an engineering diploma (particularly mechanical and aeronautical) can use lateral entry opportunities to join the second year.
