Ques: Are there any entrance exams for B.Sc. Nursing?

Admission to B.Sc. Nursing in India is done through entrance exams conducted at national, state, or university levels. Some of the most well-known national-level entrance exams include NEET-UG, accepted by most nursing colleges, and AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing, conducted by AIIMS for admission to its prestigious nursing programs. JIPMER Nursing is another entrance exam for getting admission to the nursing program at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research. Other than these, various states conduct their entrance exams, with the names of KCET Karnataka, WBJEE West Bengal, and MHT CET Maharashtra.

These entrance exams, generally, will test the candidates' knowledge about Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English along with some aptitude and other Nursing-related subjects. The minimum eligibility for entry is usually completed 10+2 with PCB and a certain percentage, around 45-50%. Certain private universities hold their own entrance tests and give a nursing aspirant an entry to that respective university.
