Admission to the B.Com CS course does not require an entrance examination. Most universities and colleges in India, including government and autonomous institutions, offer this course based on merit, keeping in mind the Class 12 board examination scores. Anyone from a commerce, science, or arts background can apply to this course; however, it might be easier for the students from a commerce background due to prior exposure to the business and finance subjects. Some elite private universities like Christ University or SRM University might conduct entrance tests or interviews to assess the suitability of a candidate.
However, a student who chooses to pursue B.Com CS professional course along with it has to enroll separately from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, clear its CSEET-CS Executive Entrance Test. This qualification is different and must be held to become certified as a CS. Always, one must note the specific individual university admission requirements.
