The length of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Course in this college varies from two to four years depending on the course offered and the category of AME license applied for. This program is usually split into the functional components of training and courses and practical training where students are subjected to intensive teaching in aerodynamics, regulations, aircraft structures, and propulsion systems. This knowledge is accompanied by supervised hands-on experience in professional Maintenance Organizations where students work on actual aircraft.The program is completed under the supervision of licenced personnel. The syllabus is prepared in accordance with the requirements of DGAC India or other applicable civil aviation organizations so as to ensure that students are trained in the profession with proper theoretical and practical training.

The AME course has two primary divisions, B1 (Mechanical) and B2 (Avionics), with additional divisions by aircraft and logic systems. The B1 category includes disciplines like airframe and powerplant maintenance. B2 deals with avionics - the electrical, instrumentation, and radio navigation systems. Usually, an AME program takes four years, which consists of two years of academic study in the Institute and two years of practical work in an airline or maintenance repair organization (MRO).
