AME is the person who certifies the aircraft then only it can take off. After successful completion of the AME course, students are eligible to work as Aircraft Engineers in various domestic International airlines. Students can also join Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO’s) Technical Publication organizations, Flying Institutes, Charter Services, Various Government sector, Higher Education Abroad.
AME Course Duration
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from WIIA Pvt. Ltd. is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The duration of Course is 3 years. Practical Training is at the Airport in the actual Maintenance working environment. WIIA Pvt. Ltd. the only institute in India which has complete Boeing 737-200 (Heavy Aeroplane) aircraft in working condition to provide practical exposure to the students. Furthermore, we also have Learjet-24 (Heavy Aeroplane) & Zenith CH2000 (Light Aeroplane) for practical training on actual aircraft.
AME Eligibility Criteria
To pursue AME course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-
- Candidate appearing or passed 10+2 with PCM from a recognized board.
- Candidate appearing or passed 3 Years engineering Diploma (Polytechnic) from a recognized board.
- Candidate must be physically fit with a medical certificate of not having colour blindness.

AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Course Detail
WIIA in association with Indus University also offers AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME an undergraduate integrated program connected to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. In this course, the student will understand and learn about aircraft maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and solving the issues of an aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the aircraft in airworthy condition.
AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Course Duration
B.Tech in Aircraft Maintenance is a 4 years (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program. This course trains the students in understanding the concept in terms of technical aspects of aircraft, particularly in Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling, etc.
AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Eligibility Criteria
To pursue AME + BSc (Hons.) course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-
- 10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) Combination from a recognized board or having a diploma or higher degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical or Aeronautical engineering.
- Minimum age requirement 16 Years
- Medically fit and doesn't have colour blindness or any other physical disabilities

B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering + AME
Students seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License courses at WIIA are also qualified to do B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering alongside their aircraft maintenance engineering License courses or vice versa to help the eligible student to acquire both degree and License simultaneously.
B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering + AME Course Duration
B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is a 4 years full-time undergraduate program. This course trains the students in understanding the concept in terms of technical aspects of aircraft, particularly in Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling, etc.
B.Tech Aeronautical Course Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed their 10+2 exams in the fields of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. In 10+2 levels, a qualifying aggregate score of at least 50% is needed.
- Candidates with a mechanical or related science diploma from post-tenth-grade programme are also welcome to apply.
