Western India Institute of Aeronautics Pvt. Ltd.(WIIA) was established in 2004 to cater the expected growth of Indian aviation and to fulfill demand of providing skilled & trained AME professionals.

WIIA Pvt. Ltd. is the only AME institute in India to have Boeing 737-200 aircraft to provide Aircraft Maintenance Engineering approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India and other skilled development courses in Aviation field with latest technology and system. Indus University provide B.Sc (Hons.) in Aircraft Maintenance to the AME students of WIIA for further improvement of their career prospects. AME Course
Approved by DGCA, Govt of India

AME is the person who certifies the aircraft then only it can take off. After successful completion of the AME course, students are eligible to work as Aircraft Engineers in various domestic International airlines. Students can also join Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO’s) Technical Publication organizations, Flying Institutes, Charter Services, Various Government sector, Higher Education Abroad.

AME Course Duration

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from WIIA Pvt. Ltd. is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The duration of Course is 3 years. Practical Training is at the Airport in the actual Maintenance working environment. WIIA Pvt. Ltd. the only institute in India which has complete Boeing 737-200 (Heavy Aeroplane) aircraft in working condition to provide practical exposure to the students. Furthermore, we also have Learjet-24 (Heavy Aeroplane) & Zenith CH2000 (Light Aeroplane) for practical training on actual aircraft.

AME Eligibility Criteria

To pursue AME course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-

  • Candidate appearing or passed 10+2 with PCM from a recognized board.
  • Candidate appearing or passed 3 Years engineering Diploma (Polytechnic) from a recognized board.
  • Candidate must be physically fit with a medical certificate of not having colour blindness.

AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Course Detail

WIIA in association with Indus University also offers AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME an undergraduate integrated program connected to Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. In this course, the student will understand and learn about aircraft maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and solving the issues of an aircraft. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the aircraft in airworthy condition.

AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Course Duration

B.Tech in Aircraft Maintenance is a 4 years (8 semesters) full-time undergraduate program. This course trains the students in understanding the concept in terms of technical aspects of aircraft, particularly in Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling, etc.

AME (DGCA) + B.Tech AME Eligibility Criteria

To pursue AME + BSc (Hons.) course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-

  • 10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) Combination from a recognized board or having a diploma or higher degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical or Aeronautical engineering.

  • Jet Engine Shop Turbo Shaft Engine & Turbo Jet Engine are in dismantle, mounted, and good cross-section view for demonstration practical use of the students.
  • Machine Shop Machine Shop equipped with Lathe Machine, Power Drill Machine, Power Hacksaw and Bench Grinder.
  • Mechanical Workshop Machine Shop equipped with Lathe Machine, Power Drill Machine, Power Hacksaw and Bench Grinder.
  • Boeing 747 Landing Gear Boeing 747-200 Aircraft for practical training of the students. Arrangement of removal and installation of Landing Gear, Brake Unit, and different accessories and parts of the Landing Gear.
  • Computer LabWe have designed our Computer Lab for Advanced Computing. It is fully equipped with 30 latest configuration PCs, Printers, Scanner, etc.

Hostel

Separate hostels for boys and girls. (Air conditioned accommodation is also available). Well cooked hygienic food and comfortable environment in the hostel. Separate administrative and academic Wardens. The hostel provides comfort and the feeling of being with one’s family. The WIIA Campus has a single entry and 24-hour security. In addition, state-of-the-art security technology is deployed to ensure the complete safety for all residents.

Where training will be provided to the students?
The practical training will be provided to students in organizations such as TajAir and. All the organization is reputed and provides good training to the students.
A. Yes, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. There is a lady warden available in the girl’s hostel and a security guard is also available 24 X 7.
The practical session in campus is provided on aircraft with Boeing 737, Learjet-24 and Zenith CH 2000. These aircrafts are in operational condition so that students can attain knowledge
There is a placement cell that plays a fantastic role in enlightening the future of the students. We provide 100% placement assistance to the students and arrange many seminars, group discussions for the students.
