Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a unique career course related to the Maintenance, Repair, and troubleshooting problem in aircraft most of the work related to the engines (piston & turbine engine), airframe, landing gear, fuselage, etc. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer has a responsibility of smooth take-off and landing an aircraft and helicopter. This course is about skills and knowledge about the aircraft.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a four year internationally based license program, the AME license issued by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. The course study is divided into two part academics and practical training. Practical training held in Indigo or AIR WORKS INDIA (AWI).
To get admission in B1.1 and B2 stream in AME course student has to fulfill basic eligibility criteria which are as following:-

B1.1 (Mechanical):- This license category is related to the maintenance, repair, and troubleshoots of the mechanical system in aeroplane with jet engines.
B2 (Avionics):- Avionics license holder deals with the electrical and electronic parts of aircraft. B2 also related following system:-

Any other fee like board verification fee and other expenses (stay and food) pertaining to MRO training to be afforded by student.

Most of the work involves aircraft systems such as engines, airframe, and safety procedures along with aviation management aspects like airport operations and airline administration. An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer ensures the smooth operation, take-off, and landing of aircraft. This course provides both technical skills and managerial knowledge required for a successful career in the aviation industry.
AME (DGCA) + BBA in Aviation is a three-year integrated program divided into 6 semesters. This course combines practical aircraft maintenance training with business and management subjects such as aviation management, airport operations, and airline marketing. It prepares students for diverse career paths in aircraft maintenance, airline management, airport operations, and aviation business sectors.

Bachelor of business administration (BBA) is the 3 year course where 6 semesters are involved. It means every year has 2 semesters. One out of 6 semesters has the practical in the live companies. In the course of BBA in aviation, every semester has its own importance. Bachelor of business administration (BBA) is approved by the university Grants Commission (UGC), government of India. This is the undergraduate programme.

The Department also organises EASA Licences in association with Europien Lankan Pacific Aviation, Srilanka and Airwirks (DGCA Approved MRO at Hosur. Also the department supports for the students to get AME Licences.
The Department is actively involved in DRONE Training, Piloting and Licences. We are moving towards IATA Course franchise.
