Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a job profile with high dignity and a great sense of responsibility. Aircraft Maintenance engineering standards of aviation maintenance, safety and security, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India, regulates & approves the AME Institute in India for operating aircraft maintenance colleges. The students passing out from the AME institute in India get employment opportunities in government and private sector.
AME Course Duration
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is an internationally based license program, which covers Three year of academics and two year practical knowledge. The Entire course curriculum of 2400 hours is divided into Six semesters/phases. Each semester/phase includes 600 hours of balanced theoretical & practical training program covering detailed syllabus given in CAR 66. Total 300 Hours of the practical training will be conducted by our training partner i.e. Air India Engineering Service Ltd at their own facility at Mumbai Airport. This 300 hours of field training will be divided in two sessions, 150 hours of first session will be included in Semester/Phase- V training and second session of 150 Hours field training will be part of Semester/Phase- VI Training.
AME Course Eligibility Criteria
To pursue AME course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-
- 10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) combination from a recognized board or having a diploma or higher degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
- Candidate must have minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with PCM or equivalent.
- Minimum age requirement 16 Years
- Medically fit and doesn't have colour blindness or any other physical disabilities

AME (DGCA) + B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering
Students seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License courses at NDC Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering are also qualified to do B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering alongside their aircraft maintenance engineering License courses or vice versa to help the eligible student to acquire both degree and License simultaneously.
AME + B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering Course Duration
B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is a 4 years full-time undergraduate program. This course trains the students in understanding the concept in terms of technical aspects of aircraft, particularly in Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling, etc.

To pursue AME + B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering course a candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) – EASA is an internationally recognized aviation maintenance program designed for students who aspire to build a successful career in the global aviation industry. The course focuses on aircraft inspection, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and ensuring complete airworthiness and safety standards of aircraft. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification is widely accepted across international aviation sectors, opening career opportunities in airlines, MRO organizations, aircraft manufacturing companies, and aviation maintenance industries worldwide.
NDC Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers provides advanced aviation training infrastructure, experienced faculty members, modern laboratories, workshops, and practical exposure to prepare students according to international aviation standards. The academic classes and technical training sessions will be conducted at NDC Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, while practical and international aviation training will be provided in Germany through Athens Aviation Training Organization, approved under EASA Part-147 standards.
