India has set a goal to achieve carbon neutrality for 121 airports by the year 2025.create numerous job opportunities for candidates

In India, twenty-five airports are currently operating entirely on green energy. Additionally, it has been announced by Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia that a further 121 airports will be transformed into carbon-neutral facilities by the year 2025. The plan involves motivating airports to adopt 100% green energy by 2024 and reach net-zero emissions by 2030. This initiative is already in motion, as 25 airports managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) are already functioning on 100% green energy. The goal is to replicate this success across another 121 airports within the next few years.

The aviation minister noted that India has reformed the regulatory mechanism to promote aircraft manufacturing in the country. "We have reformed the regulatory environment to make it as conducive as possible for MROs - reduced GST rates on MRO services from 18 per cent to 5 per cent and allowed 100 per cent Foreign Direct Investment into the sector. New MRO guidelines have also been rolled out for rationalisation of the charges leviable on MRO service providers for ease of doing business.
