Er. Piyush Lohani

Piyush Lohani is an Aeronautical Engineering undergraduate at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal, with academic and practical exposure to aircraft maintenance, avionics, aerospace engineering and aviation safety.

He is currently gaining practical aircraft maintenance experience as a Technician Apprentice with Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL). His industry exposure includes aircraft maintenance and avionics, helping him connect aeronautical engineering concepts with practical maintenance operations.

His technical training also includes exposure to aircraft main and standby batteries, EPSU batteries, aircraft wheels, brakes, landing gear systems and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). He has undertaken NDT Level II training covering Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Radiographic Film Interpretation (RTFI), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT).

Piyush secured All India Rank 1732 in GATE 2026 Aerospace Engineering, reflecting his continued academic interest in aerospace and aeronautical engineering.

Since December 2023, he has been associated with AME CET as a Freelance Aviation Content Reviewer. His role focuses on reviewing aviation-related educational and technical content for clarity, technical relevance and usefulness to students exploring careers in aircraft maintenance, aeronautical engineering and the broader aviation sector.

His areas of interest include aircraft maintenance, avionics, aircraft systems, non-destructive testing, aviation safety, aerospace engineering and technical aviation communication.
