Students of the Aeronautical Engineering branch are well supported academically and practically with various facilities at the PSAEC (Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science) campus located in Trichy. The institute houses well furnished laboratories like the Aerodynamics Lab, Aircraft Structures Lab, Propulsion Lab, and Avionics Lab which allows students to learn about different elements and systems of an aircraft and other aviation technology hands on.
The wind tunnel facility enables students to participate in studies regarding airflow and aerodynamic forces.Students are also given the opportunity to use a simulator which allows them to experience flying in real time. Students are able to prototype and work on design projects using CNC machining or 3D printing. Modeling and structural analysis of the aircraft is done in the CAD lab which is equipped with the most advanced software so that students are able to acquire important skills for the industry.
Besides, the PSAEC campus is equipped with a modern classroom, a library, and research centers that contain books, e-resources, and journals pertaining to aeronautics. The internship and industry linkage programs enable students to be familiarized with aviation companies for practical exposure. The college conducts guest lectures, workshops, and industrial tours for improved technical competency. Spacious hangar facilities for aircraft components provide real life training. The student innovation center promotes research involving drones, UAVs, and space engineering.
