JAI is approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India for imparting ab-initio training in the field of aircraft maintenance Engineering for obtaining basic AME licenses in a mechanical stream on Category B1.1(Aeroplane Turbine).

B.Tech In Aeronautical Engineering
Approved by AICTE, Govt of India

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering established in the year 2008, conducts the programme on B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering with a vision to attain excellence and global reputation in Aeronautical Engineering education and research. Aeronautical engineering is the course where students deal with the designing and manufacturing of the flight’s machines and techniques of operating aircraft. Aeronautical engineering is divided into two different parts :- first one is aerospace engineering, here students deal with the designing of both aircraft and spacecraft that are used within or out the surface of the earth’s atmosphere.

Second one is astronautical engineering, where students deal with the designing, development, testing and production of the aircraft and spacecraft that are used beyond the earth’s atmosphere.

Duration of Aeronautical Engineering

The duration of the aeronautical engineering course is 4 year which means 8 semesters are involved. One semester out of the eight has practical training in the live environment and other semesters have academic sessions.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
Approved by DGCA, Govt of India

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is an international program approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. An AME is responsible for the airworthy condition of an aircraft. No aircraft can fly without its safety certification by an appropriate License holder AME. Thus an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer shoulders the responsibility of aircraft safety and the personnel on board on behalf of Govt. of India.

To be eligible for issuing a Flight Release Certificate (fit to fly), an engineer is required to possess a valid AME License issued by the DGCA, Govt. of India.

AME Course Duration

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a four-year license course that is approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. JAI has its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industry in the institute, starting 2 years students have to undergo for 2 years academics, and the rest of the study will begin as practical training in MRO.
