UP aviation sector opens jobs for youth , great opportunities for students who want build career

Lucknow: With three international airports already operational, and two more set to be launched, the aviation industry in Uttar Pradesh is growing steadily, offering scores of employment opportunities to the youth, a government spokesperson said.

“Aeronautical Training Institute, UP is playing a vital role in fulfilling the need of technicians, engineers and other staff which could aid in smooth functioning of the airport,” he said.
Functioning under the civil aviation department, the institute is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, Directorate General of Civil Aviation and National Board of Accreditation.
The institute offers a three-year diploma in aircraft maintenance engineering (AME) in mechanical, avionics, and helicopter streams. Each course prepares 30 students per year for employment in airlines. “Currently, 191 students are undergoing training here. The institute has a team of 12 instructors. The admission to the institute is done through joint entrance examination conducted by the joint entrance examination council, UP,” he said.
“The students at the institute get placement opportunities in various airlines. In the AME (Mechanical) stream, between 2018 to 2022, 98 out of 120 graduates were hired by airlines. Similarly, in AME (Helicopter) stream, 48 got placement out of 61 between 2020 to 2022,” he added.
