India Sets Ambitious Vision: 230-240 Airports to Transform Aviation Landscape by 2030!

Indian Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Shindiya said that by 2030 the country plans to complete the construction of 230-240 airports, helicopter pads and hydro aerodromes. India will have 1,200 planes with 40 crore air travelers by 2027.

Jyotiraditya Scindia projected the country's civil aviation sector to have phenomenal and healthy growth in terms of passengers, aircraft, and airports. According to the minister, the fleet of aircraft in the country is expected to grow even further to reach 1,200-1,400 by 2030.

In addition to building new airports, the government plans to expand the capacity of existing metro airports. This expansion will enable these airports to handle a larger number of planes, making air travel smoother and more convenient for everyone.
