Air India, supported by the Tata Group, is getting more airplanes regularly. Now, they're planning to fly to new places around the world this winter. They want to go to Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Boston, and Los Angeles. Right now, they already fly to about 40 international places. They might also increase the number of flights to Australia and Europe.
According to insiders, Air India plans to start flights to Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City in December, and they might begin flights to Boston and Los Angeles in early 2024. The exact start dates depend on when they receive new planes. They are thinking about several other international places too. Flights to Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City will use smaller planes, while the Boston and Los Angeles flights will use leased Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 planes.
Air India is getting more than 30 new planes, both big and small, by March 2024. These include A350s, B777s, and A320neos. They're expecting five Boeing 777s, six Airbus A350s, and 20 A320s. Additionally, they want to have more flights to Australia, especially between Delhi-Sydney and Mumbai-Melbourne
