Aircraft Engineering Course Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Aircraft Engineering will remain the same for all the courses which are as follows-

  • An applicant must be passed 12 th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or 3 years engineering diploma from any recognized board at the time of admission.
  • Candidate must have passed 12 th with 45% in PCM or equivalent.
  • Candidate age should be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission.

Aircraft Engineering Course Duration

Aircraft Engineering course duration depends upon course to course. Each course has different subjects and patterns of examination. In AME, there are modules whereas in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, there is semesters examination.

Course duration for the course are as follows:-

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)
  • In AME there are 2 courses which are as follows:-
    • AME Course duration for this license comprises of a tentatively 1-year academic program in DGCA approved organization and other 1-year practical training in the flying environment. At the time of training, student will get the stipend based on their skill-set.
    • AME course duration comprises of tentatively 2-years academic programme in DGCA or EASA approved AME institutes and 2-years practical training in a live environment such as Airlines, MRO Organizations, etc. After clearing modules and practical training, the student will get a license that is authorized worldwide. At the time of training, student will get the stipend based on their skill-set.
  • Aeronautical Engineering:- Aeronautical Engineering is an undergraduate engineering program that is of 4 years. Within 8 semesters, students serve with the practical and theoretical knowledge about aircraft and its various functions.
  • Aerospace Engineering:- Aerospace Engineering is 4 years undergraduate engineering program that offers theoretical and practical knowledge about aircraft and spacecraft. These courses comprise of 8 semesters that student has to clear for getting the degree.

Aircraft Engineering Course Fees

Aircraft engineering course fees differs from course to course and institution to institution. The academic fees of the course are paid on the semester wise basis. The educational loan facilities are available by banks to pay the fees. The exact aircraft engineering fee details can be seen on the official website of colleges. The fees may include tuition fees, book fees, etc.

For Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) DGCA program the fees range from INR 50,000 to 1,50,000 per semester.

For the AME EASA program the fees can be from INR 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs per semester.

For Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, the fees will remain the same from INR 50,000 to 1,50,000 per semester.

The hostel fees vary from colleges student taking admission. It is not compulsory to take hostel facilities. It is an optional facility for the students. The hostel may include w-fi, bed, regular check-ups, etc.

The hostel fees will range from INR 25,000 to 40,000 per semester.
