Aeronautical engineering is the course where students deal with the designing and manufacturing of the flight’s machines and techniques of operating aircraft. Aeronautical engineering is divided into two different parts :- first one is aerospace engineering, here students deal with the designing of both aircraft and spacecraft that are used within or out the surface of the earth’s atmosphere. Second one is astronautical engineering, where students deal with the designing, development, testing and production of the aircraft and spacecraft that are used beyond the earth’s atmosphere.
The Department gives a broad multidisciplinary education enabling the students to succeed in a wide variety of careers including the design, manufacture, maintenance and management of Aerospace Vehicles including airplanes, helicopters, gliders, launch vehicles, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The duration of the aeronautical engineering course is 4 year which means 8 semesters are involved. One semester out of the eight has practical training in the live environment and other semesters have academic sessions.
