The maintenance of modern sophisticated aircrafts calls for a high degree of technical knowledge, competence, proficiency & integrity on the part of the concerned personnel.     • This is an Undergraduate degree program integrated with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course (B1.1, B1.3 & B2) as per UGC guidelines. The course is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates shall have passed minimum 10+2 class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • DTE approved diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Physical fitness and Colour vision Certificates are mandatory as format prescribed in the college prospectus.

Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) + B.Sc. Aviation

The Ground Classes for CPL and B.Sc. Aviation program are conducted at the Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering, while the Flying Training is carried out at Aviation Junction Flying School in South Africa.

Aviation Junction Flying School, based in South Africa, is a premier international Pilot Training Academy recognized for its excellence in aviation education and hands-on flight training.

Duration: The duration of the Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) course is 16 months, which includes 4 months of ground classes at Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering and 12 months of flying training at Aviation Junction Flying School in South Africa.

B.Sc. Aviation is a 3 year program, So the total duration of CPL+ BSC is 4 years in which a candidate get bsc degree along with a cpl license.

General Terms & Conditions

  • Training will be conducted on aircraft approved by DGCA.
  • Accommodation, transportation, club membership, and pilot excess insurance are included in the package for the initial 12 months. Students are required to reside in school-provided accommodation for the entire duration of the course.Any extension beyond this period will be charged to the student at ZAR 9,000 per month.
  • The package covers the cost of written examinations and flight test fees for the first attempt only. Any additional attempts will be charged to the student as per prevailing CAA/or school rates.
  • Pilot excess insurance is included for 12 months (11 months Single Engine and 1 month Multi Engine).
  • In the event of visa expiration, all renewal costs shall be borne entirely by the student.
  • If a student exceeds the 200-hour allocation included in the package, additional hours will be charged accordingly. All additional flying hours will be charged at the current aircraft rental rates as published by the school at the time of training.
  • Any increase in Multi-Engine flying hours beyond the package will be charged at the standard Multi-Engine aircraft rates.
  • A pilot kit, including uniform and study materials, will be provided at the start of the course. (Students must bring 2 white pilot shirts and 2 pairs of formal black trousers with proper fitting.)
  • Students are required to have their own aviation headset (The cost of the headset is not included in the package.)
  • Ground school is mandatory for both PPL AND CPL in accordance with the latest SACAA regulations.
  • Any costs not explicitly mentioned in this quotation that arise during training will be payable by the student.
  • All bank charges incurred during fee transfers shall be borne by the student as per applicable bank rates.
  • The academy shall not be held responsible for any variations arising from foreign exchange fluctuations.
  • During hour building, if refueling is conducted at an airfield where fuel prices exceed those at the home base, the student shall bear the difference in cost.
  • To secure admission, students must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ZAR 25,000, which forms part of the total course fee.
  • All prices stated are subject to change based on fuel price variations and inflation. Students will be notified in advance of any changes.
  • A final closing balance will be issued at course completion, including all additional costs. All outstanding dues must be settled in full, failing which the school reserves the right to withhold the student’s license and documents until payment is made.
  • Meals are included in the package. It will be Tiffin service (lunch& dinner), 6 days per week, for 12 months.

  • Aircraft Hangar The institute is having its own live heavy “Learjet 24B” American Business Aircraft for student’s hands on practical & Demonstration
  • Practical Labs we have Electrical, Instrument, radio & navigation Labs for B2 (Avionics), and For B1.1 (Aero plane Turbine/ Mechanical) Jet Engine Lab, Airframe Lab. In addition we are having Composite Lab, GPU, Battery Shop, Welding shop, Soldering Station, etc. for students practical’s, and demonstrations
  • Computer Labs College is having high configuration computer lab for students.
  • Workshop Our workshop has all necessary facilities like hand tool as well as power operated tools like compressor, buffing machine, lathe machine, etc.
  • Library Library is a mirror that reflects the image of the training institute. Institute is having all the necessary books specified in CAR 66 license examination and additional reference books. The Institute is also having “DELNET” subscription students can access books using their mobile, laptop, etc.

Hostel

Institute provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with mess facilities. Hostel accommodation is provided on the basis of “First Come First Serve”. In case hostel accommodation is full, the Institute shall provide assistance in getting the alternate accommodation. A spacious and clean mess is managed by professional caterers. They serve the varieties of food stuff of different tastes. Due care is taken to maintain hygienic conditions in the mess.

The Company currently has a fleet of 4 x Bell 412, 4 x AW 139 and 6 x H145 Helicopters operating onshore and offshore up to distances of 190NM, Deep Sea and is planning to further expand its fleet size. Heligo Charters Pvt. Ltd. offered its first Airbus H145D3 helicopter to ONGC for their production requirements. What is Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME)?
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) is a specialized course that trains individuals to inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure their airworthiness and safety.
Eligibility criteria for pursuing AME course is 12th Science with physics Chemistry and Mathematics subjects OR diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Aeronautical Engineering, and Physical Fitness Certificate and colour vision certificate must be obtained from the respective authority. (Format of Medical Fitness and Colour vision certificate is available in prospectus)
The curriculum typically covers a wide range of subjects, including aircraft systems, avionics, materials and hardware, aerodynamics, regulations and standards, maintenance practices, human factors, and safety procedures.

There are typically three categories of AME licenses:

  • Category A: For line maintenance work, involving simple tasks and replacements.
