HCAT is the one of the oldest institutes for AME in India. This institute is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India.
HCAT is dedicated in providing its students with an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse campus community. We seek to develop in each member of the HCAT community the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively and effectively for the betterment of humankind. It is only 1.5 Km interior towards the foothills of the mountains from Kumaracoil Junction on the Kanyakumari-Thiruvanathapuram National Highway (NH-47).
A Nano- Satellite, designed and fabricated by the university is to be launched into orbit through PSLV of SDSC, ISRO in 2014.
We are one of the institutions having their own 4 aircrafts which are LearJet, Beach Craft, Cessna and Pushpak Aircrafts.
Our campus converts your dreams into reality. Our institution is a big campus comprising many different courses.
It is an integrated course which combines AME license and B.E.(AME) degree. Through this, students will appear for two different examinations for the issue of Degree and Licence. Both the courses will be running parallel to each other. At the end of four years students will have both an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license & B.E.(Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) degree, thereby making him eligible for both manufacturing as well Maintenance jobs related to aircrafts. This will also enhance the placement probabilities as students are able to apply for jobs either as AME or B.E. related.
AME with B.E.(AME) with course duration is 4 years. The academic knowledge will be gathered at our institute and live training will be held in flying environments such as Airlines, MRO etc. After completion of the academic programme, the candidate has to undergo practical training for where stipend will be provided to the candidates. After clearing the modules and practical training license will be issued by DGCA.
