BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Detail

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, prepares engineers for success and leadership in the conception, design, implementation, and operation of aeronautical and related engineering system. We achieve this through our commitment to education excellence, creation, development, and application of technologies critical to aeronautical vehicle and information engineering; and to the architecture and engineering of complex high performance systems.

BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Duration

The four-year Aeronautical degree programme is designed to satisfy the demands of the aviation industry. It is also concerned with the science and practice of air and space flight, design, development, testing and production of Aeronautical vehicles, the maintenance and operation of aircraft and in aeronautical research.

BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Eligibility

A candidate must pass in the 12th with a minimum of 50% (other state student) or 45% (Tamil Nadu student) average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
For Backward class/SC/ST /MBC/DNC from Tamil Nadu can take admission with minimum 40% average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For lateral entry: A candidate must pass with prescribed minimum 50% eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in mechanical, production, robotics, automobile, and Metallurgy branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course.

Hostel

We have got a highly modernized kitchen to provide wholesome food to the students. The hostels have library sections with books for all departments as well as technical and non-technical magazines.

50 single members and 200 double member and 50 four member’s rooms with visitor's hall.
Well -established library with 1500 volumes and technical and non- technical magazines.

Cafeteria

There are two dining halls - one for the staff and the other for the students with a dining capacity of 250 and 480 respectively. The dining halls are well furnished.

Library

The Central Library has been built to International Standards. It spread over to an area of 4500 sq. m. with ground plus four floors. The library is equipped with a Reference section it could accommodated around 500 students, Digital library, Audio Visual Section, and Journal Section etc.

Internet

Our college is fully equipped with round the clock internet facility with a speed of 310 Mbps, in collaboration with BSNL networks. The node facility is available for the entire campus including the hostels.

Medical Facility

An ambulance van is available to provide 24 hours medical facilities for any emergency. Health facilities play a very significant role in the mitigation of disasters because of their particular function in treating the injured and handling outbreaks of disease.

The Department also organises EASA Licences in association with Europien Lankan Pacific Aviation, Srilanka and Airwirks (DGCA Approved MRO at Hosur. Also the department supports for the students to get AME Licences.

The Department is actively involved in DRONE Training, Piloting and Licences. We are moving towards IATA Course franchise.
